# Wren Privacy Policy Last updated: 3 July 2026. This policy applies to the hosted Wren service. It states what data Wren stores, how that data is protected, and the controls you have over it. ## What Wren stores Wren is a companion that remembers, so it keeps a record of your conversations: what you tell it, its derived understanding of you, and the state of your relationship with it. Only what Wren needs in order to function is kept. ## How your data is protected - Encrypted at rest. Your record is encrypted on the server with a key derived for your account; it is not held on disk in readable form. - Never sold or used for advertising. Your data is not sold, shared for marketing, or used to build advertising profiles. - Not used to train AI models. Conversations sent to the model provider to generate replies are not used to train its models, per that provider's API terms. ## What leaves the server To generate each reply, your conversation is transmitted over an encrypted connection to the model provider (Anthropic) and processed under its API terms. When Wren looks something up on the web, stored personal details are scrubbed from the query before it is sent, and Wren does not use what it knows about you to build searches. ## Your controls - Review: the in-app memory view shows what Wren has stored about you. - Correct or remove: you can delete individual memories at any time. - Export: you can download everything Wren holds about you as a readable file. - Delete your account: you can permanently and irreversibly erase your entire record, every memory, fact, and the relationship itself, after an explicit confirmation. Deletion of the live record takes effect immediately. ## Age Wren is restricted to adults. You must affirm that you are 18 or older before any conversation begins, and Wren does not knowingly hold information about anyone under 18. ## Crisis and safety Wren is not a medical, mental-health, or emergency service, and is not a substitute for professional care. If it detects signs of serious distress, it may show crisis resources (for example, 988 or 911 in the United States). ## Changes and contact Material changes to this policy will be shown in the application before they take effect.
